Guide to the Zante Strip

A guide to the Zante Strip
The Zante Strip is infamous, offering some of the largest clubs in Europe, dozens of bars and restaurants, and all drenched in a kilometre-long sea of neon lights and booming music leading right up to the beach - it’s party heaven. If you’re in Zante to party, the strip will become your second home, you’ll be there for shopping, food, pre-club drinks and, of course, the clubs themselves - some of Europe’s largest and wildest.
They say there’s two essentials to a Zante holiday - a boat party and partying on the strip. Don’t miss out!

Where is the strip in Zante?
Technically, there’s a few strips in Zante. Tsilivi and Argassi have more laid-back, smaller, family-friendly strips. But the strip we mean - the strip everyone means - when talking about the Zante strip is the Laganas strip, the ultimate party destination.
The Laganas strip is about 15 minutes form the airport via taxi or transport bus. If you arrive at night, you’ll definitely be able to find it. Just follow the flashing lights and loud music! You will probably be able to hear it before you can see it!
The whole street is about 3km long, but the main strip itself is 1km and can be walked end to end in about ten minutes. If you find yourself being offered drink deals and ushered into bars - you've found it!

Zante Strip By Night
Chances are you’ll be spending a lot of your time on the strip when the sun goes down. Night time on the Zante strip is like nothing else, a madness that sees people from all over the world rolling in and out of bars, restaurants, clubs - it’s a non-stop party.
Our guides the to the best restaurants, best bars and best clubs have more info, but here’s a snapshot of what’s available right on the strip:

Restaurants
The Zante strip has some top restaurants. Cool Peppers is always a popular choice, a Mexican restaurant known for its delicious fajitas, burritos, and margaritas. Sirocco has a bit of everything, especially if nursing a killer hangover. Pizza, pasta, burgers, fajitas, steak - lot’s to choose from, all great. Don’t forget a milkshake to really sort you out. If you’re in the mood to try some authentic Greek dishes, Panos is the strip’s best offering. From gyros to calamari, it’s got it all. If you’re after something more upmarket, try Essence. Mediterranean cuisine, with steaks and small plates the popular choices.

Bars
To say there’s a lot of bars to keep you entertained on the strip is the ultimate understatement. From chill vibes to Karaoke to dentist chair mayhem, there’s a bar for you.
Sugar Lounge is a must visit, with the best cocktails on the strip - or ice-cold beer if you prefer - and a party atmosphere. It’s the pre-club choice for us. G-Spot is more chill, with a focus on more quality drinks - but still at great value. It’s a great place to start the night in our opinion. For absolute carnage, Cheeky Tiki’s is the best choice. It’s the home of the head f*cker, as well as other speciality cocktails that really take the night up a notch. Words don’t do it justice.

Clubs
The clubs on the strip are infamous. This is what we’re here for - open late, booze flowing, banger after banger, and the chance to get covered in paint and foam! And as they are all close to each other, there’s no reason to not try a few, if not all!
Sizzle is our choice, with two of our favourite events in Zante - Switch Disco every Monday night and the long-running Wonderland every Saturday. Both included in our Uncharted Platinum Package. Rescue Club is the big one, a true super-club with a capacity of over 2000 and sitting right bang in the middle of the strip. But don’t forget Cocktails & Dreams and their must-see, bright lights staircase. There’s a club for everyone on the Zante strip, so if you want to change things up or fancy some different tunes, you won’t have to go far!

Hotels
Most of the hotels on or around the Zante strip are fairly basic - after all, you probably won’t be spending too much time there - but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some gems to be found. Our picks include TZante, which is known for its cleanliness as well as its amazing location - 2 mins to literally everything, maybe a bit further to the beach. If you want to be even closer to the beach, Trinity Hotel is just 100m away. It’s cheap and cheerful, but has a good pool and helps you save money for the important things! The Ionis Art hHotel is about as good as it gets on the strip, right in the heart of the bars and clubs and still close to the beach. Accommodation is comfortable and modern but there’s still a party atmosphere.
One thing to take note of for hotels on the strip is the Tourist Tax. The exact amount depends on the star rating of the hotel and the number of nights you are staying, but is usually not more than 5 euros per night. You will also be expected to pay a deposit on your room, which you will get back if you haven’t trashed the place before you leave. So go easy, treat your room with respect.
The Zante Strip By Day
If you're out until 7am hitting up the clubs, you probably won't see much of the Zante strip in the daytime - maybe a few hazy restaurants looking for a hangover cure.
But if you’re not recovering from the night before, there’s still plenty to see and do on the strip in the daytime. If you fancy some go-karting, Laganas Go Karts are nearby. There’s also a mini-golf course, and even escape rooms. Dune buggies and quad bike hire is popular, while scuba diving and snorkelling - and even boat hire - is available for the more adventurous.
If the thought of doing anything like this makes you feel dizzy, don;t worry you won’t be alone. Most people will simply be chilling on the beach or at their hotel pool. If you want to try somewhere new, then head over to the Hamsa beach bar or the Mansion Pool party for sunshine bathed partying with a touch of chill.
Now that you know the Zante strip like the back of your hand, it’s time to book your holiday and get involved. Don’t forget, while the strip will be your home from home, a Zante boat party is another must see on your Zante holiday. The best way to get it sorted in one go is with an events package. Get it all booked up today and get ready for the best week of your life!
